1999 Conference: October 28-31, 1999 at the Monte Toyon Retreat in Aptos, California. The conference included a panel of interdisciplinary scholars, titled The Body and Identity: Essential/Experiental/Constructed, organized by Marjorie Gelus, Ruth-Ellen Joeres, and Jennifer Ruth Hosek.
